Well-known Prophet Odumeje has shared an emotional story about his troubled past in a viral video.
As the General Overseer of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministry, Odumeje opened up about his difficult childhood and the harsh environment that shaped his early years.
Growing up at No. 3, Nnewi Street in Onitsha, Anambra State, he revealed that life in his rough neighborhood led him to dangerous choices.
Odumeje explained how the constant crime and tough streets drew him in at a young age.
By the time he was 14, he had become involved in armed robbery, quickly earning a reputation for being notorious. “I became a terrorist,” he admitted, underscoring how feared he had become in his community.
His story left many of his followers shocked, as they struggled to reconcile his current role as a preacher with his past as a criminal.
However, Odumeje revealed that his turning point came through the unwavering love and prayers of his mother, a devout Christian who never gave up on him.
Her faith helped plant the seed of change in his life.
“One day, Jesus Christ arrested me through the help of my mother,” Odumeje shared, recalling the moment that changed his path.
While the transformation didn’t happen overnight, it was through his mother’s love and divine intervention that he left his life of crime behind and dedicated himself to serving God.
Describing his transformation as miraculous, Odumeje said, “A destroyer became a savior.”
Now a respected preacher, he uses his platform to inspire young people to avoid the traps that once ensnared him.
His story serves as a powerful reminder that no one is beyond redemption and that faith and love can lead to change.
Through his ministry, Odumeje spreads the message of love, forgiveness, and the redemptive power of God’s grace, offering hope to all those seeking a way out of darkness.
