Singer Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, has been announced as the newest addition to the television show “The Voice.”
The 34-year-old will begin his role on November 19, serving as a playoff advisor alongside coach Gwen Stefani.

In an exclusive preview shared with People magazine, Kelly can be seen mentoring contestant Jake Tankersley during rehearsals.
He offered specific performance advice to the contestant, saying: “You have a good smile so maybe crack a smile on that and let people know they can be close to you.”

Kelly also provided technical guidance, telling Tankersley: “When you have any moment when there is no lyrics though, because there is so many words, step away from the mic and play your guitar.”
He added a personal touch to his mentoring, saying: “It’s all about the feel. You have a wife and kids, they bring the color to your life so it’s all feel.”
The announcement comes amid recent reports that Kelly’s girlfriend, Megan Fox, is expecting a child.
