The tweet, posted on March 15, 2019, shows Asake humbly asking Fireboy DML to follow him back on Twitter.
At the time, Fireboy DML was already gaining popularity in the Nigerian music industry and was signed to Olamide’s record label, YBNL.
Asake, on the other hand, was still an up-and-coming artist.
Fast-forward to 2024, and Asake has become one of the most sought-after artists in Nigeria and Africa.
