On her Instagram page, she passionately told her audience to join her in the fight against this destructive practice.

Akindele specifically highlighted the harm caused by recording videos in cinemas, emphasizing that this is a form of piracy that can severely impact the success of a film.

She stressed the importance of respecting the intellectual property rights of producers and the investments made in producing a movie.

With her latest project, “Everybody Loves Jenifa,” Akindele pleaded with her fans not to promote piracy, emphasizing that it undermines the hard work and resources invested in the film.

She said:

“SAY NO TO PIRACY!!!

Recording short videos at the cinemas is piracy!!!

Please stop it!!!

Piracy is killing us!!

I worked so hard, on this project. Please I’m pleading do not be caught promoting piracy!!!

A lot of resources were and are still being invested in the movie Everybodylovesjenifa. Again, do not be caught encouraging piracy. Thank you”.
