The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has stated that it is neither aware of nor investigating the reported disappearance of ₦180 million from the account of a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) owned by VeryDarkMan (VDM)
On Saturday, FCT Police spokesperson Josephine Adeh clarified that the command has no information regarding the case.
“The FCT Police Command is not aware of any case involving VDM’s missing funds and is not conducting any investigation into it. The individual in question should clarify where the matter was reported, as there is no record of such a case with the FCT Police Command,” she stated.
VDM had previously alleged in an Instagram video that ₦180 million was fraudulently transferred from his NGO’s account to an unknown recipient, leaving just ₦20 million. He claimed that one suspect had been arrested and efforts were underway to recover the stolen funds.
However, his claims have been met with skepticism, with some questioning the credibility of his account.
Attempts to contact Force Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi for comment were unsuccessful, as calls went unanswered, and he had not responded to messages by the time of this report.
