A woman has lost 5 children and her mother in the d8adly attack that took place over the weekend in Yelwata, Benue State
The massacre occurred late Friday night and continued into the early hours of Saturday, when armed herdsmen reportedly invaded the village, unleashing chaos and destruction. More than 200 people were said to have been kIlled, with dozens more injured.
In a gut-wrenching video now circulating online, the devastated mother described the horror of the night and the unimaginable pain of losing her entire family in one sweep. Struggling to hold back tears, she said her five children and mother were all k!lled in the ambush.
The video was shared by UK-based Nigerian doctor @OurFavOnlineDoc, wrote:
“This lady lost all her 5 children and she also lost her mother at the recent Yelwata Massacre in Benue State.
The pain is deep and piercing.
How do you console someone like this?
How do you tell her to ‘reconcile’ with those who wiped out her family?”
The incident has triggered widespread outrage across social media, with Nigerians demanding accountability and immediate action from the government to end the relentless violence plaguing Benue and other parts of the Middle Belt.
