The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of popular social commentator Scott Iguma

In a statement released on the morning of July 17, the command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, revealed that Iguma will be arraigned today before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi on a 10-count charge. However, the specific charges were not disclosed.
“Scott Iguma will be arraigned on a 10-count charge at the Federal High Court Ikoyi this morning, July 17, 2025,” the statement read.
Iguma, known for exposing alleged fraudulent practices by real estate companies, was arrested on Wednesday, July 16.
Shortly after his arrest, a statement was posted on his social media account by his associates, alleging that he was picked up following a complaint from a real estate firm over his outspoken criticisms.
