Nigeria’s sprint sensation, Tobi Amusan, has qualified for the women’s 100m hurdles final at the Tokyo 2025 World Championships after a commanding win in her semifinal heat
Amusan finished with a time of 12.36 seconds (-0.2), securing her place in the final ahead of the Netherlands’ Nadine Visser, who clocked 12.45 seconds, and Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska, who finished third in 12.51 seconds.

The 27-year-old world record holder, who set a remarkable 12.12-second mark at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, dominated the race from the start, showing control and composure throughout.
Her stellar performance has heightened expectations as she prepares for the final, where she will aim to reclaim the world title she won in 2022 and reinforce her status as one of the sport’s most consistent hurdlers.
