Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara is currently at the Presidential Villa in Abuja for a meeting with President Bola Tinubu
The purpose of the visit has not been officially confirmed, but it is believed to be linked to the president’s efforts in restoring peace in the state.

Channels TV reports that Fubara arrived at the villa alone around 6:20 pm on Monday and proceeded to the President’s office.
It should be noted that Fubara, his deputy, and members of the state House of Assembly—who were suspended in March amid a prolonged political crisis—were reinstated by the president last week.
In a statewide broadcast, the governor thanked President Tinubu for his intervention in the Rivers State crisis and also commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for supporting efforts to maintain peace.
