Odumodublvck has released a detailed statement addressing recent controversies in the music industry, which include a diss track from Blaqbonez, harassment allegations, and his own outburst against MI Abaga, whom he referred to as a “short man devil.”
In the statement, captioned “TO MY FAMILY, FRIENDS, FANS AND TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN 🙏🏿❤️ – INDUSTRY MACHINE”, Odumodublvck described the past few weeks as “heavy,” saying he and his friends had been unfairly portrayed while a personal and painful matter was twisted publicly.
“For over a year, someone close to me has been subjected to ongoing online abuse, threats, and personal violations, and at different points, efforts were made to amplify that abuse. Watching that play out publicly has been difficult, especially as false narratives and targeted attacks continued,” he said.
He added that he had initially tried to resolve the matter privately by reaching out to label heads, industry executives, and influential figures, but no help was offered. “Many chose to protect their interests, their artists, and their investments instead of standing up for the truth,” he noted.
Odumodublvck explained that his actions were not driven by pride or ego but by the need to protect someone he cares about. “When it became clear that no one would protect her, I felt compelled to step in. These actions were not driven by ego or pride, but by anger, frustration, and the need to defend someone who had been tormented for far too long while everyone looked away,” he said.
He stressed that the situation has been mischaracterized as a “rap beef” for clout, saying, “Reducing a person’s hurt to entertainment is not only insensitive but deeply disrespectful.”
He also criticized peers who stayed silent, adding, “I have always stood for honesty and accountability. I’ve called out those I once respected because when it mattered most, they chose silence. That is not leadership. That is not character.”
Concluding, Odumodublvck affirmed that the matter has been addressed and that he would not revisit it, focusing instead on “peace, closure, and moving forward.”
