The Lagos State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has officially named its permanent secretariat after First Lady Oluremi Tinubu
President of CAN, Daniel Okoh, renamed it during the inauguration of the building on Tuesday.
The facility, now called the “Senator Oluremi Tinubu CAN Lagos State Secretariat,” is located in Alausa, Ikeja.
Okoh commended the state chapter for its perseverance and commitment in bringing the secretariat project to fruition, noting that the new building consolidates CAN Lagos operations under a permanent structure for the first time in nearly three decades.

“I urge all members to remain united and dedicated to the work of Christian leadership in Lagos State,” he said.
Representing the First Lady, her spokesperson highlighted that the completion of the secretariat ends years of land disputes and signals a new chapter for Christians in Lagos State.
A floor of the complex was also dedicated to Iya Aladura General, Dr Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye.
The edifice features multiple structures named after notable figures, including the main office block honoring Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Bishop Stephen Adegbite Hall and Event Centre, and the CAN Chairman’s office named after Senator Tokunbo Abiru.
Speaking at the event, Adegbite described the secretariat as a symbol of unity and administrative strength, urging all members to take ownership and ensure its proper upkeep.
