Six people are de.ad and three seriously injured after a man set himself on fire on a bus in Switzerland
Police have not ruled out terrorism after witnesses saw him set himself on fire deliberately.
Footage from the scene shows intense flames tearing through the bus before the vehicle was completely engulfed.
One person told local media: ‘A man set himself on fire inside. He poured petrol and set himself on fire.’
Police sergeant Frederic Papaux said: ‘The police are currently treating the fire as a man-made incident, and even a deliberate act.
‘There were no other vehicles involved – only the bus. And that bus caught fire… we are currently trying to determine the precise reason why this happened.’
It is not known how many people were on the PostBus service as it approached its final stop in Kerzers, 15 miles west of Bern.
The three worst injured people were taken to hospital by ambulance and helicopter while another two were treated at the scene.
