In a recent chat on Oyinmomo TV, Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami opened up about the sudden passing of his beloved friend and colleague, Allwell Ademola, and his words were heartfelt, honest and deeply reflective.

Instead of dwelling on rumors or guessing what might have been, Salami spoke from the heart. He said he sees her death as the kind of thing that can happen to anyone no matter how health‑conscious you are.

According to him, even though many people knew Allwell battled asthma and took her wellbeing seriously, fate had its own plan.
“Honestly, I think it was just her time,” Salami said with a tone of quiet acceptance. “Cardiac arrest doesn’t care who you are or how careful you’ve been.”

He also touched on the nature of his friendship with Allwell a bond close enough that his wife was fully aware of how important the late actress was in his life.

Rotimi laughed a little as he admitted that had his wife ever been uncomfortable with their friendship, things might’ve been different.

“My wife knew us very well,” he said. “If she wasn’t cool with it, maybe I would’ve backed off.”

His remarks offered a mix of grief and gratitude showing how two creatives in Nollywood supported each other both professionally and personally.

For Rotimi, Allwell’s passing isn’t just a headline or a chapter closed it’s a reminder that life’s clock doesn’t always align with the plans we make.
