At least six health workers were reportedly abducted during a midnight raid on a health centre in the Oke Ijebu area of Akure, Ondo State
Eyewitnesses said the attackers arrived around 2:00 a.m. in a bus and forcefully entered the facility located opposite Mega School.
The gunmen allegedly rounded up all staff on duty, including interns, and took them away in the vehicle to an unknown location. Patients present at the time were left unharmed but were reportedly shaken by the attack.
Residents in the area expressed alarm over the incident, calling on security agencies to act swiftly to ensure the safe return of the kidnapped health workers and prevent similar attacks in the future.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement on the situation.
