President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made it clear that he will not be shaken or deterred by opposition forces as the 2027 presidential race approaches
Speaking on Thursday during a meeting with the national, zonal, and state leaders of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the State House, Tinubu dismissed attempts to pressure him politically.

“They want to scare me off. It’s a lie. I’ve been through this path before, and if I have to come back over and over again, I’ll do the same thing.”
In what appeared to be a subtle reference to the ongoing leadership crisis within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), where some opposition figures have accused the Presidency of interference, Tinubu reaffirmed his stance on upholding democratic values.
He called on political actors to respect the rule of law and judicial authority, stressing the importance of national unity.
“We cannot submit to disobedience of a lawful order of a court. We must embrace the judiciary, whether it favours us or not. That is the principle of democracy and separation of powers.”
