Nigerian comedian Akpororo has weighed in on the troubling case out of Delta State, where a 28-year-old man identified as Oghenemine Ogidiwas shot dead during a police interrogation.
What’s raising eyebrows now isn’t just the shooting, but how a pistol allegedly made its way to him in the first place.
According to reports, the firearm was sent through a logistics company from Sapele and delivered to Uvwie, where Oghenemine received it before his arrest.
Akpororo is now asking a simple but pointed question: how did that package pass through the delivery system without being flagged?
He pointed out that courier companies typically inspect items before sealing and waybilling them for delivery. If that’s the case, he argues, then the staff who handled the package should be identified and questioned. For him, it’s not just about the end result but the entire chain of events that made it possible.
The comedian is calling for accountability, insisting that everyone involved from the sender to the logistics personnel should be part of a thorough investigation.
In his view, understanding how the weapon got delivered is just as important as addressing what happened afterward.
As conversations around the incident continue, many are echoing his concerns, asking whether proper checks were overlooked and what steps will be taken to prevent something like this from happening again.
