Nollywood actor Yomi Fash-Lanso has sent a strong message to young people who follow wealthy friends into dr^g abuse without thinking about the consequences.
The actor said many youths from poor homes are now taking hard substances just because they want to belong among rich kids, forgetting that both situations can never end the same way.
In his words:
“So you that’s a poor man Pikin that you know your parents don’t have money at all , you went and started taking wrap, L0ud and igb00 with rich man Son. When that rich man son becomes insan£, his parents will quickly take him abroad for treatment or rehabilitation.But you that’s a poor man pikin, nah hear they will tie you down and they will use cane and st1ckk to fl0g out the madn£ss from your body. Abeg don’t stop oo, that ur brain that’s not working properly would soon start working very well”.
The actor is simply warning young people that drug abuse affects individuals differently depending on their background, and that less privileged families often lack the kind of support systems available to wealthier ones.
