VeryDarkMan and Seun Kuti have traded words over Omoyele Sowore
In a series of lengthy posts on his Instagram Story, VeryDarkMan insisted that although he wants Sowore released, he does not support his political ambitions or activism.
He argued that no one could pressure him into backing Sowore completely.
VDM also reminded Seun Kuti that he defended him after his arrest for assaulting a police officer, despite believing the singer was wrong at the time.
He went on to accuse Seun Kuti of tribal bias and claimed the singer had previously promised to confront Sowore over issues relating to the BLord case before changing his position.
“Like I said SOWORE can never be president of this country Seun KUTI you can cry forever… the only reason why I want him out is because WTF is the Tinubu government holding him for, saying Tinubu is a thief, the Tinubu government are robbing Nigerians and that is fact.”.
“Una go cry tire… Una no fit emotionally blackmail me to give Sowore my 100 percent support. I don’t believe in him at all and that’s my opinion… I WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU AND OMOYELE SOWORE.”
“Seun KUTI say VDM should stand one side LOL… when you slapped a police man on duty a lot of us knew you were wrong, guess what, we still made videos saying #FreeSeunKuti.”
VeryDarkMan ended his remarks by reiterating that his support for Sowore’s release should not be interpreted as support for his politics.
“FREESOWORE because Bola Ahmed Tinubu government is robbing Nigerians and Sowore calling him a thief is not an offense enough… I’m not saying he should be freed because I believe in him, hell no. I don’t believe in his ambitions.”
Responding, Seun Kuti dismissed VDM’s comments with a series of posts;
“Trading insults with man wey don give another man hand job is a beech move.
“We Dey here. Una no fit kill Sowore. Case closed. We don see Una plan. That’s all that needs to be said.
“Bob Marley say: who the cap fit, let them wear it. I say – Hit dogs holler.”
