Streamer and content creator Peller has responded again to rapper Ycee, insisting he has no reason to be bothered by the criticism directed at him.
Speaking during a live session, Peller said the comments about him have become frustrating, adding that some people seem determined to see him fail.
“Your hatr£d got nothing on me. I sw£@r to God, I’m frustrat£d. People want me to be thinking. They want me to quit my career. Am I the only one?” he said.
Peller also stated he knows Ycee’s music but would not recognize the rapper if they met in person.
“I know Ycee’s music but I don’t know his face,” he added.
He went on to accuse some celebrities of privately reaching out to him for promotional deals, only to criticize him publicly after discovering they could not afford his rates.
“These celebrities message me for PR but it’s my management that always reply them and give them my rate card; when they see that they can’t pay me because it’s too expensive, they go on podcast to shade me,” he said.
Peller’s latest response follows Ycee’s appearance on the Afropolitan Podcast, where the rapper referred to him as part of an “Olodo uprising.” Ycee noted that academic excellence is no longer celebrated and criticized what he sees as the growing glorification of ignorance, citing Peller while making his point.
Since then, the issue has continued to draw responses from people within the entertainment industry. Rapper Ladipoe also appeared to disagree with Ycee, saying education and intelligence are not the same and that highly educated people can still “confidently spread nonsense.”
Peller has maintained that he will continue focusing on his career despite the criticism.
