Peller uses Remi Tinubu's advice to fire back at critics mocking his education

Content creator Peller has used the controversy surrounding First Lady Oluremi Tinubu’s advice on selling akara, roasted corn and kuli-kuli to hit back at those who have been dragging him over his educational background.

The livestream star was recently at the centre of online criticism after rapper Ycee described him as part of the “Olodo uprising.” Many people sided with the rapper and took turns mocking Peller’s English and education.

Now, Peller has fired back.

He compared the criticism he received to the silence surrounding the First Lady’s advice that Nigerians should consider small businesses like selling akara, roasted corn and kuli-kuli.

He said:

“Certificate people they want to give you people Kuli Kuli and Agbado make Una dey sell but una Dy talk about Olodo uprising. That other time wey I say make them bring certificate for cameraman job of 1 million Naira everybody start to dey dr@g me. See now na Agbado and Kuli Kuli Una go use Una certificate collect and Una no talk. You people Una wick£d. See as them skip am. Every month when I check how much I don do give a way, I go dey see 10 to 15 million. E reach akara and Kuli Kuli Una no dey vex.”

Peller also brought up the backlash he faced after asking applicants for a ₦1 million cameraman job to submit their certificates. That decision earned him plenty of criticism at the time, with many people questioning why he was asking for academic qualifications.

This time, he sees things differently. In his view, the same people who laughed at him and called him “olodo” have had little to say while certificate holders are being encouraged to make a living by selling roadside food.
