A tragic incident has left residents of Kogi State in shock after a 22-year-old teacher, Mariam Usman, was allegedly b.eaten to d.eath by the father of one of her students
The incident reportedly happened in Ugbamaka, Okpo District, Olamaboro Local Government Area of the state.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the trouble began after Mariam disciplined a student in the course of her duties as a teacher. The student’s father allegedly confronted her over the punishment, and the disagreement reportedly turned vi0lent.
Mariam was said to have sustained severe injuries during the assault and later d!ed.
The heartbreaking incident has raised fresh concerns about the safety of teachers, especially those carrying out disciplinary responsibilities in schools.
Authorities are expected to investigate the case thoroughly, while those responsible are expected to face the law if the allegations are confirmed.
