British-Nigerian rapper Skepta has urged Kanye West to protect his kids after North West was treated by adults in the public
The criticism followed a video from the Vetements Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show in Paris, where North was seen greeting a man.
In the clip, she appeared to extend her hand for a handshake, but the man instead pulled her into a hug before posing for a photo with her.

Reacting on X, Skepta said the teenager’s body language made it obvious that she wanted a handshake, arguing that her gesture should have been respected.
The rapper explained that he generally avoids commenting on celebrity matters but felt compelled to speak because of what he described as the inappropriate behaviour of grown men around a young girl.
“A blind man could see she wanted a handshake.”
“My fans know I try to stay out of people’s business but damn the way grown men, complete strangers, try to use North makes me sick.”
After one social media user questioned whether hugging had become offensive, Skepta clarified that his concern had nothing to do with hugs themselves but with respecting a child’s boundaries.
“She is 13 years old and she put her hand out for a handshake, you don’t ignore that.”
He ended his remarks with a message urging parents to be more vigilant about protecting their children, particularly those growing up in the spotlight.
“Protect your kids people. Protect your kids!”
