Actor Stan Nze has restated his support for former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, saying he is yet to find anyone he believes is a better choice after watching Obi’s recent interview
Reacting in an Instagram post, the actor explained that his backing for Obi has nothing to do with tribal or regional sentiments but is based on the need for competent leadership that can transform Nigeria.
Stan stressed that his priority is not who occupies the presidency but finding a leader who genuinely has the country’s best interests at heart and is capable of driving meaningful progress.
He noted that the impact of governance cuts across every part of the country, affecting all Nigerians regardless of their ethnic background or location.
According to him, from the candidates he has seen so far, Peter Obi remains the one who best matches the kind of leadership he hopes to see.
He wrote: “I only want to see a better Nigeria. It doesn’t have to be Peter Obi. I’m not looking for someone from my tribe, but for a candidate who has Nigerians at heart and can move the country forward, not one step forward and ten steps backward. So far, I haven’t seen any better candidate than Peter Obi in this election. The truth is that governance doesn’t affect only one tribe or region, it affects everyone.”
Stan’s remarks followed Peter Obi’s interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, during which the former Anambra State governor addressed the uncertainty surrounding the 2027 presidential election.
