Before the new season of Big Brother Naija begins, former housemate Doyin David had a few words for those getting ready to walk into the house.
Speaking at the BBNaija Season 11 pre-show media launch in Lagos, she encouraged the incoming contestants to make the most of the opportunity by being themselves instead of holding back because of what people might think.
She said:
“My advice to the incoming BBNaija Season 11 housemates is, don’t be boring, don’t be a furniture. Don’t be scared of people judging you.
Say whatever you want to say and do whatever you want to do. You will deal with consequences later.
Also, learn how to have fun by yourself. When you are in that house, you might not have a lot of friends but you need to be able to stand alone and don’t be depr£ssed about it.”
Doyin believes confidence and authenticity matter just as much as strategy. She believes contestants should be comfortable standing on their own, enjoy their time in the house regardless of who they connect with, and not let the fear of being judged stop them from expressing themselves.
