Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has accused some people in the movie industry of using the title of her unreleased film for an older movie they uploaded on YouTube
The actress made the allegation while expressing frustration over what she described as repeated attempts by some colleagues to copy her work and ideas.

According to Okorie, Queen of Guns has not yet been released on YouTube, Netflix or in cinemas. She said the film is scheduled to be screened first for her fans in Manchester before moving to other cities.
She claimed that when she searched for Queen of Guns on YouTube, she discovered that an old movie, which she alleged was produced more than 10 years ago, had been given the same title.
Okorie further alleged that the people behind the movie used recent photographs of her from the production of her own Queen of Guns to create promotional material for the older film.
“They have gone to use my recent pictures that I was using to shoot the movie Queen of Guns and then they made a poster and brought an old movie that they have shot over 10 years ago and called it Queen of Guns. How can people be this wicked?” she said.
The actress said she was particularly upset because she claimed her version of Queen of Guns had been trademarked and was being produced on a large budget.
“That movie is what I shot with almost 100 million naira and mine is trademarked. Mine is not released anywhere, but because you see that the name has travelled far, all of you got that place,” she alleged.
Okorie also accused some individuals in the industry of copying her style and projects, saying she has chosen to distance herself from people she believes imitate her.
She added that she decided to trademark the name because of what she described as repeated attempts to take advantage of her ideas and projects.
The actress maintained that her film remains unreleased and insisted that fans in Manchester would be the first to see it before subsequent screenings in other locations.
