Henry Okoye, one of the elder brothers of Peter and Paul Okoye, has spoken about how Jude Okoye initiated rift between the former music duo
Henry said he was deeply hurt by the situation within the family and claimed that Jude played a major role in the problems that eventually developed between the brothers.

He explained that the Okoye family has eight children, comprising six boys and two girls. According to him, Peter and Paul are among the youngest of the siblings, while Christopher Okoye is one of the older brothers.
Henry recalled that he and other members of the family supported Peter and Paul during the early stages of their music career, when they were still struggling to establish themselves.
He said he personally took the twins to performances in Jos and supported their musical activities before they became successful. He also recalled travelling with them and sometimes acting as their bodyguard alongside his friends.
According to Henry, Jude was not involved when Peter and Paul were starting out. He claimed that Jude only came into the picture after the twins had begun gaining recognition and making money from music.
He said the family eventually allowed Jude to manage Peter and Paul, despite their mother’s initial reservations. Henry claimed their mother had concerns because she already knew Jude’s character, but another older sibling persuaded her to allow Jude to take charge of the twins’ management.
Henry said he was not interested in the money Peter and Paul were making and was simply happy to see his brothers succeed. However, he claimed that after Jude became involved, Peter and Paul gradually became distant from other members of the family.
He said the family initially did not understand what was responsible for the change and only later came to believe that Jude was behind some of the problems.
Henry also disclosed that his relationship with Jude has deteriorated to the point where they have not spoken for roughly one to two years.
He recalled being hospitalised for two months last year and claimed that Peter and Paul contacted him during that period, while Jude allegedly never called to check on him.
He further expressed concern about another sister who he said was living in Lagos and struggling, arguing that some members of the family were no longer looking out for one another.
Speaking about Paul, Henry described him as one of the nicest people in the Okoye family before expressing surprise at the changes he believes have occurred in his younger brother.
He said he could not explain exactly what caused Paul’s change and stressed that he was only speaking from his own experience as an elder brother.
Henry’s strongest remarks came when he directly addressed Jude’s character and his alleged role in the family’s problems.
He said;
“When they started this music, they were looking for sponsors. We didn’t get sponsors. When I started sponsoring them, Jude was not there.”
“When Best in the Edge came to Jos, looking for artists, I carried them to the stadium for the performance. After the performance, they took first. When they took first, Jude was not there.”
“Before we could know it, Jude came in. Wanted to manage them. So we allowed Jude to manage them.”
“Before then, my mom disagreed. The one that is senior than P-Square directly begged my mom she should allow Jude. My mom said she knew Jude very well.”
“She knew the kind of character he has.”
“I’m not about money. I don’t want to know. If I heard about P-Square, I’d be happy. I know that my brothers, that’s what’s making it going on.”
On the growing distance between Peter, Paul and their family, he said: “Before you know it, they start running away from everybody. We never knew that it’s Jude that is causing the problem.”
He then made his most direct accusation against Jude, saying: “Jude is never a good person. He’s my brother, but he’s very bad. I’m telling you the truth, Jude is very bad. He’s not a nice person.”
On his strained relationship with Jude, Henry said: “For now, almost a year to two years, I’m not talking to Jude. He doesn’t talk to me. Even when I’m sick in the hospital last year, I was admitted in the hospital for two months, but Jude knew. Peter used to call me, Paul used to call me, but Jude never called me for once.”
And speaking about Paul, he said: “In our family, Paul is the nicest person,” before adding: “The way Paul changed and did everything, I’m surprised. I don’t know how to put it. I’m surprised.”
