Liverpool’s owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), have completed the sale of a 30 percent stake in the Premier League champions to a consortium involving Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin and British-Indian businessman Amit Bhatia
The investment is reportedly valued at around £1.65 billion, putting Liverpool’s overall valuation at approximately £5.5 billion.

The deal ranks among the largest minority investments ever made in English football.
FSG confirmed the transaction after reaching a “definitive agreement” with 1892 Holdings for the strategic minority investment.
Bhatia, who spearheaded negotiations between the consortium and FSG, is set to become Liverpool’s vice-chairman and join the club’s expanded board, subject to regulatory approval.
