Veekee James has a clear idea of how far she wants to take her fashion business.
Speaking on the CreativiTea podcast, the fashion designer said her dream is to eventually charge $100,000 for making a single dress.
She said:
“I see myself charging $100k to sew one dress.
I can’t make that much money from content creation.
The most a brand can give you is $500k, and that’s usually for a year-long contract.”
For Veekee, the goal goes beyond making money from content or brand partnerships. She wants to build a fashion business where the value of her work can command that kind of price for one piece.
