MC Fish’s decision to marry again was largely driven by his desire to have a family, according to his new partner, Gbemso.
The couple spoke about their relationship during an interview on 93.5 Area FM, where they were asked why MC Fish decided to give love another chance after his marriage to actress Anita Joseph ended.
The presenter pointed out that some men tend to focus on their careers and finances before settling down. He asked what MC Fish found in Gbemso that made him willing to start over, especially after going through a failed marriage.
Gbemso said she believes having a family has always been important to her husband. According to her, the end of his first marriage did not change that desire.
She said:
“In my theory I think that he wanted to have family at all cost… even as that one now broke, like as the first trial didn’t work, he still want get in own family na something wey him want get wey they important to him”.
She explained that MC Fish’s experience with his first marriage did not make him give up on the idea of building a family. Instead, he remained open to finding love again because starting a family was still something he wanted.
Gbemso also recalled when they first met, saying it happened on October 5. She noted that they were only a few days away from marking their first anniversary.
“So when we jam honestly which was fifth of October, 1 year anniversary is coming up like in three days,” she added.
Which simply meant, the end of his first marriage was not the end of his plans for love and family. His relationship with Gbemso has given him another opportunity to pursue what he has always wanted.
