Entertainer Teni has recounted how she lost a nanny job after claiming on her CV that she could cook, only for her meals to burn when she was asked to prepare food.
Speaking in an interview, Teni said:
“I was once a nanny for three days. I did two nanny jobs but didn’t last up to 1 week,” she said.
Teni explained that her second employer was a doctor married to a Nigerian man, who asked about her abilities during the hiring process.
“The second nanny person was a doctor and her husband was Nigerian, they asked me what I can do and I lied on my CV that I can cook,” she recounted.
She said she did not expect the employer to ask her to prepare meals, but when she eventually cooked, everything got burnt.
“I didn’t know they’ll say I should actually cook. When I tried cooking everything burnt and the next day she called me and said don’t bother coming. I got fired,” Teni added.
