24-Year Old Fake Soldier Who Specializes In Stealing Exotic Cars Nabbed (Photo)

    Operatives of the Abia State Police Command have arrested a
    fake Army Lieutenant, who specialises in stealing exotic cars from automobile
    dealers in the state.
    It was learnt that the 24-year-old suspect who was
    identified as Ahanna Ogwezi, operated with two fake names, Lt. Danjuma Aliyu in
    Abia State and Lt. Thompson Adedeji in Imo State.
    Sources said the suspect dressed in full military uniform
    with the badge of the rank of a lieutenant is so eloquent and speaks good
    English, which left no room for his victims to doubt his personality.

    According to a police source, the suspect a product of
    Nigeria Military school later studied Medicine and Surgery at Madonna
    University.
    It was gathered that on November 12, 2015, the suspect
    deceived one of his victim at Umuahia into believing that he genuinely wanted
    to test drive a Toyota Camry 2011 model, but he zoomed off with the car and
    never came back.
    It was also learnt that the police intelligence officers
    attached to the state police command, acting on an intelligence report, traced
    the vehicle to a buyer at Onitsha, Anambra State.
    The buyer of the stolen vehicle, who claimed to be related
    to the suspect, said he agreed to pay N2.8m and had paid N700, 000 cash.
    Abia State Police Public Relation Officer, Mr. Ezekiel
    Udeviotu, who confirmed the incident, said the number of vehicles recovered from
    the suspect, included one Lincoln Navigator, one Toyota Avalon and one Toyota
    Camry.
