Singer Spyro has questioned the state of electricity supply after visiting an EKDC office to complain about paying for Band A electricity without getting a steady power supply.
He said he was surprised by what he saw when he arrived at the office. The workers were also without electricity and had to fan themselves because of the heat.
According to Spyro, the woman who attended to him explained that even her neighbours made fun of her for working at the electricity distribution company, despite not having light in her own home.
Recounting their conversation, Spyro said:
“I went to the EKDC office out of frustrat!on to find out why I pay for Band A and yet get zero electricity.
On getting there, I was moved by compassion, as the workers were literally fanning themselves, with no electricity.
The lady who attended to me said:
“My neighbours shame me for working here, yet I have no light.’ And yet, some f00ls still seem to think everything is okay in this country.”
