Hon. Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza, the Kebbi State High Court judge who was k!dnapped last week, has regained freedom and has safely reunited with his family
A relative confirmed the development to Vanguard’s correspont on Monday, revealing that the judge returned home just a few hours earlier after spending a week in captivity.

“We are celebrating and thanking God for bringing him back safely. He was released today and has finally returned home after spending one week with the bandits,” the family member said.
The family also expressed heartfelt appreciation to everyone who supported them throughout the difficult period.
“We are deeply grateful to the Kebbi State Judiciary, the security agencies, and the people of Kebbi State for their prayers, encouragement, sympathy, and every effort made during this trying time. Your support strengthened us, and we sincerely appreciate your solidarity,” the source added.
According to the family member, further information about the circumstances surrounding the judge’s release will be disclosed at a later time.
“Details of how he regained his freedom will be made public later,” the source said.
At the time this report was filed, neither the Kebbi State Judiciary nor the security agencies had issued an official statement regarding the judge’s release.
Justice Bunza’s abduction sparked widespread concern across Kebbi State, with many calling for his immediate and unconditional release.
