There was an atmosphere of gratitude at First Baptist Church on Sundday as Professor Alamu, the husband of Mrs Rachael Alamu, joined fellow worshippers to thank God following the safe return of his wife after weeks in captivity.

Mrs Alamu, the principal of Ahoro Esinle School in Oyo State, was abducted on May 15 alongside 43 students and pupils in Oriire Local Government Area. After spending several weeks in the hands of her captors, she and the other victims regained their freedom on Friday, July 11.
A day after the news of their release, Professor Alamu attended a thanksgiving service at his church, where he expressed his gratitude through songs and praise.
He danced alongside other members of the congregation as they celebrated the safe return of his wife and everyone who was released.
