Nollywood actor, Jerry Williams has reportedly been arrested by police officers at his home in Delta State, with claims that a fellow actor orchestrated the move
According to Stanley Ontop, another Nollywood actor, Williams was picked up in the early hours of Monday, July 21, 2025, by officers from the Edo State Police Command.
The arrest was allegedly facilitated by Nwafor Franklin, popularly known as Izutech.
Stanley, who posted a video online, expressed fears over Williams’ safety, alleging that Izutech is in possession of N2.5 million paid by movie producers intending to feature Jerry Williams.
He wrote: “Izu went to Jerry Williams’ house in the early hours of today and bundled him to Benin with the help of some Nigeria Police. Let it be known that Jerry Williams is in Izu’s custody. If anything happens to Jerry, Izu should be held responsible.”
The incident comes just days after Jerry Williams made his return to the movie industry following a long hiatus spent in rehabilitation for substance abuse.
