Cameroon joins the likes of Morocco, Mali, and Senegal in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations
The Indomitable Lions secured their spot after a hard-fought 2-1 win over South Africa in Rabat on Sunday night.
Junior Tchamadeu opened the scoring in the 34th minute, and just two minutes into the second half, Christian Kofane doubled the lead, giving Cameroon a comfortable advantage.
But South Africa made things tense late on when Evidence Makgopa scored in the 88th minute, cutting the deficit.
Despite the late pressure, Cameroon held on to advance to the last eight of the tournament.
