The Lagos State Police Command has officially invited Pastor Chris Okafor, Senior Pastor of Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, to report to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, in connection with allegations of multiple r*pe, other s3xual offences, and conduct likely to breach public peace
Pastor Okafor is expected to appear today, 5th January 2026, by 10:00 a.m. prompt, following the service of an official invitation letter through his legal representative.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of SCID to carry out a thorough investigation into the allegations. Full cooperation from Pastor Okafor is expected during the ongoing probe into the alleged serious offences.
CP Jimoh has further assured that victims will receive full security and protection. Members of the public who may have experienced similar offences, or who possess credible information relevant to the investigation, are encouraged to come forward without fear. All victims’ identities will be strictly confidential and protected throughout the process.
The Lagos State Police Command reiterated its commitment to upholding law and order, ensuring public safety, and conducting impartial investigations. The Commissioner emphasized that the law applies equally to all, regardless of status or position, and that justice will prevail.
