In a strongly worded message on social values and responsibility, Agbala Gabriel, leader of the Agbala Gabriel Apostolic Church, has spoken about what he describes as growing selfishness in society and the widening gap between the rich and the poor.
The cleric expressed concern that many people focus heavily on personal wealth accumulation while neglecting those around them who are struggling.
He said:
“l have discovered that majority of 9jas are so self cent€r£d, we don’t even care about others
All we are after is to just gather all the wealth into our pockets alone, we don’t care what’s happening to our neighbours
Just one person will Want to drive 10 cars while his neighbours doesn’t have a single one
I quite understand the owner of those cars worked for their money, but truth must be told this is unfair
Let’s help eachother by feeding the less privilege, clothing the poor ,Let’s help others and also be our neighbours keepers .. .Let’s stop acquiring all the wealth into our pockets alone because this doesn’t follow the bible doctrine
May God help us to help others”.
He emphasized that while hard work and financial success are commendable, it should not lead to neglect of the less privileged. According to him, true fulfillment comes from sharing and supporting others in need.
Agbala Gabriel further encouraged Nigerians to embrace compassion, generosity, and a stronger sense of community responsibility, urging people to be mindful of those who are struggling around them.
