His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, the Alaafin of Oyo, will on Sunday, December 21, 2025, confer the title of Okanlomo of Yorubaland on Barrister Oluwaseyi Abiodun Tinubu
Seyi Tinubu is the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
It was gathered that Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari will receive the prestigious title of Obaloyin of Yorubaland during the same ceremony.
The chieftaincy installation will take place at the Alaafin’s Palace in Oyo and is set to draw traditional rulers, political figures, cultural leaders, and dignitaries from across Yorubaland and beyond, reflecting the prominence of the honourees and the cultural weight of the titles.
Palace sources noted that the event highlights the Alaafin’s dedication to acknowledging individuals who have made significant contributions to societal development and the promotion of Yoruba culture, values, and unity.
