Popular Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo and BBNaija winner Ilebaye took part in the viral dance challenge “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo,” leading to a humorous exchange that delighted fans online.
Comedian Brain Jotter originally popularized the “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo” dance, and it has since gained widespread participation from celebrities and content creators worldwide, reviving interest in the 41-year-old track.
Alexx Ekubo and Ilebaye joined the challenge, but it ended with Alexx accusing Ilebaye of disrespect. During the dance, 23-year-old Ilebaye followed the rules by trying to chase 38-year-old Alexx Ekubo and landed a playful slap.
However, Alexx lost his sense of humor and reacted angrily, prompting Ilebaye to quickly apologize and call him “Gen Z grandpa” to lighten the mood. Alexx, not amused, pulled out a cane and ordered Ilebaye to do a frog jump, which she promptly started.
Furious at what he perceived as disrespect, Alexx tried to flog her, but Ilebaye showcased her Gen Z spirit by running away. Alexx shared the video, captioning it, “Small challenge, this Gen Z wants to disrespect me.”
In response, Ilebaye commented, “Gen Z Baddie can’t play with Gen Z Grandpa in peace again!!!”
