Linus ‘Blord’ William, a prominent businessman from Anambra State, recently made a significant impact at his alma mater, Anambra State University (now known as Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University or COOU).
The fintech company CEO returned to his former school as a keynote speaker for a Student Union event, using the opportunity to give back in a meaningful way.
During his visit, Blord demonstrated his commitment to education by awarding scholarships worth a total of N10 million. Twenty students received scholarships of N500,000 each, providing substantial financial support for their academic pursuits. Additionally, he allocated N1 million for quiz winners at the event, further encouraging academic excellence and participation.
Blord shared the experience on his official Instagram page, posting a video of the event along with an inspirational message. He wrote, “Today I visited my alma mater 👨🎓 as a keynote speaker, and as usual my love for students i gave out scholarships worth 10m to 20 students and 1m to quiz winners, I am proud of all the students of Anambra state university ( COOU) who attended, May God bless you guys.”
