The application, dated June 19, 2025, was acknowledged by INEC on June 20, 2025. A copy of the letter, signed by the group’s Protem National Chairman, Chief Akin A. Rickets, was seen by Vanguard in Abuja on Friday.

In the letter titled Application for Registration as a Political Party, the coalition stated that the decision to sponsor ADA came after extensive internal discussions.

“The name of the party shall be All Democratic Alliance with ADA as our acronym and ‘Justice for All’ as our slogan,” the letter read in part.

The application also included supporting documents such as the party’s constitution, manifesto, flag, and logo. The materials outline ADA’s ideology, structure, and guiding principles, in line with constitutional requirements and the 2022 Electoral Act.

“The constitution provides the legal framework that defines our identity, regulates our affairs, and guides our actions in alignment with Section 40 and 222 of the Constitution, Section 75 of the Electoral Act (2022), and global democratic values,” the group noted.

Chief Rickets also expressed optimism about INEC’s consideration of their request, emphasizing the coalition’s commitment to creating a level playing field for all members.
