Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, the Abia North senator maintained that the APC has no reason to panic, despite the alliance reportedly being formed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, and ex-Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai.

According to El-Rufai, the goal of the coalition is to ensure President Bola Tinubu is defeated in the next general election. But Kalu insists the APC is staying the course and committed to governance and national development.

“We are not losing sleep. APC has no reason to be afraid,” Kalu stated. “We are the ruling party and passionate about Nigeria’s progress. Many of us are investing in industries to create jobs beyond politics.”

He added that the endorsements and attention the party receives are signs of recognition for the administration’s bold reforms and not indications of fear.

“The opposition has every right to challenge us—it’s part of democracy. But our focus is on results, and we’re already delivering. Over time, Nigerians will come to appreciate the tough but necessary choices this administration has made.”
