Teenager Ethan Nwaneri stole the show with his first two senior goals for the club.

The 17-year-old, making his first senior start, scored twice and contributed to Arsenal’s opener. His goals came from a Raheem Sterling cross, which Nwaneri slotted into an empty net, and capitalizing on Bolton’s sloppy play, collecting the ball from Declan Rice and scoring.

Earlier, Nwaneri’s cross led to Scott Arfield’s failed clearance, allowing Rice to score in the 16th minute. Raheem Sterling tapped home in the 64th minute, his first goal for Arsenal, and Kai Havertz sealed the win with a rebound goal.

Aaron Collins scored in the 53rd minute, denying Arsenal goalkeeper Jack Porter a clean sheet on his record-breaking senior debut. At 16 years and 72 days old, Porter became Arsenal’s youngest player to start a first-team game, surpassing Cesc Fabregas’s 2003 record.

The win solidifies Arsenal’s position in the Carabao Cup, with Nwaneri and Porter making notable contributions.
