Arsenal have officially announced the signing of winger Noni Madueke from Chelsea in a deal worth up to £52 million

The 22-year-old joins the Gunners on a five-year contract that will keep him at the Emirates Stadium until 2030.
Madueke completed the move after leaving Chelsea’s Club World Cup squad in the United States to undergo a medical in London. The deal includes an initial fee of around £48.5 million, with performance-related add-ons taking the total package to £52 million.
Following the confirmation, Madueke took to social media to thank Chelsea fans, staff, and manager Enzo Maresca, saying: “It’s been an honour to wear the shirt. Thank you for everything.”
The England international becomes Arsenal’s fourth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, midfielder Martín Zubimendi, and Christian Nørgaard. He will wear the number 20 shirt at his new club.
Despite some backlash from sections of the fanbase—largely due to the high fee and Arsenal’s recent habit of signing players from Chelsea—the club believes Madueke will add depth and creativity to their attacking options ahead of the new season.
