On May 24, 2025, Arsenal Women defeated Barcelona 1-0 in the final held at Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon

The winning goal was scored in the 74th minute by substitute Stina Blackstenius, who expertly finished a pass from Beth Mead.
This victory marks Arsenal’s second Women’s Champions League title, their first having come in 2007. Under the leadership of head coach Renée Slegers, who took charge mid-season, Arsenal showed great tactical discipline and resilience throughout the tournament, including a dramatic comeback against Real Madrid in earlier rounds.
The win also highlighted the important contributions of Mariona Caldentey, a former Barcelona star who joined Arsenal and played a key role in both the Champions League and the Women’s Super League.
Arsenal’s triumph ends Barcelona’s bid for a third consecutive European title and cements Arsenal as the only English club to have won the Women’s Champions League.
