Aston Villa came from two goals down to defeat Everton 3-2, thanks to a sensational winner from Jhon Duran
The Colombia international’s 30-yard effort capped an incredible comeback after Ollie Watkins broke his duck for the season.
Everton took a 2-0 lead through Dwight McNeil and Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goals, but Watkins netted twice to level the score. Duran, who came off the bench, scored his third winner of the season with a stunning, dipping shot into the top corner.
The victory marked a thrilling contest, with both teams creating chances. Calvert-Lewin struck the bar minutes after Duran’s winner, but Villa held on to take the spoils.
Watkins’ excellent display and Duran’s incredible goal overshadowed the pre-match debate over Villa’s Champions League ticket pricing. The win showcased Villa’s resilience and determination, making it a memorable match for the fans.
