Former Vice President and former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has celebrated former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, on his birthday, describing him as a “brother and fellow patriot”
In a post shared on his X handle on Wednesday, Atiku commended Amaechi’s courage, conviction and long-standing contributions to both Rivers State and Nigeria.
He further prayed for continued good health, strength and more impactful years ahead for the former Rivers State governor.

“Happy Birthday to my brother and fellow patriot, H.E. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. Your courage, conviction and years of service to Rivers State and Nigeria continue to inspire many across the nation,” he wrote.
“I wish you good health, strength and many more years of impactful service to our dear country,” Atiku added.
The goodwill message comes amid controversy surrounding the presidential primary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), where Amaechi, one of the aspirants, recently rejected the outcome, describing the announced results from across the country as “concocted.”
