Omowunmi Aloba, widow of late singer Mohbad, has spoken about the ongoing tension between her and her father-in-law, revealing that their issues did not begin after the singer’s de.ath
During an interview on Channels Television, Wunmi explained that she and Mohbad’s father once had a good relationship before things changed following the birth of her son, Liam.
According to her, the misunderstanding within the family had existed for a long time, contrary to public belief that it only started after Mohbad passed away.
“Baba Mohbad wants something I can’t give him, he wants the DNA of my child to be negative,” she said.
Wunmi also claimed that Mohbad’s father became upset after the late singer reunited with his mother, adding that the development worsened tensions within the family.
She stated that she initially tried to make peace and understand why the relationship had deteriorated, but later began to believe that the dispute was connected to Mohbad’s properties and music royalties.
The late singer’s widow further alleged that her father-in-law was taking advantage of the situation because she is younger while he is regarded as an elder and father figure.
