Nollywood actress, Bimbo Ademoye has pushed back against a group of “area boys” who disrupted an outdoor film shoot and demanded payment from her production crew at a location
The video which was shared to X has sparked conversations about repeated extortion of film crews on set.
In the footage, the men are seen confronting the actress and her team, insisting on a “settlement” before allowing the shoot to continue.

The demand is a familiar pressure tactic often reported in public filming locations across Lagos.
Bimbo, however, refused to be intimidated and addressed the situation directly, making it clear she was open to supporting people around her set but not under coercion.
“I am a street girl, let me tell you. Ask around, when it comes to matters of the street, I like settling boys. But you don’t come to me and tell me to give you a certain amount,” she said.
When one of the men insisted he was not there to beg, she immediately responded:
“Yes, you came to beg. You are even being proud of it,” she said.
Tension rose further when one of the men threatened to shut down the production’s camera equipment. Ademoye fired back sharply: “Camera that nobody in your generation has.”
Some thugs have gone to disrupt Bimbo Ademoye’s set 😢
This is disheartening
And that’s why a lot of producers these days prefer to make their movie production an indoor setThey prefer to use estate with full security.
That’s why we keep seeing same houses and set in… pic.twitter.com/1u51P6W2eQ— Big Uncle (@Usmanashafe) April 30, 2026
